Next Event: iAdventure Adventure Race AND Stromlo Running Festival
G’day
My name is Max. For the past four months I have been training my two-legger, Chris, for the Wild Endurance, a 100km trek through the Blue Mountains next weekend. And I’m pretty confident he’s up for it now.
Unfortunately, during our down periods, when I’ve been busy running around the house locating loose socks, he’s been slacking off - he calls it “recovering” - when he should have been fundraising for the event. Each competitor needs to raise $400 (as well as paying their registration fee). That’s a lot of dog food in anyone’s language!
We’ve managed to raise more than half, and I’ve even put my bone money in. But it’s not enough, so I’ve been hunting around the internet for people who may be interested in helping us as nobody in his email seems to reply to him anymore!
It’s really easy to donate! Just open up the following page:
http://events.wildendurance.org.au/ChrisLucey
and click on the Donate Now button, and the site will do it all for you. It’s perfectly safe, I’ve already donated using Chris’s credit card. While you’re there, take the time to read about the training I’ve been putting him through (and check out those photos of me, of course!) He makes it sound like it was all his idea, but we know better.
As it’s for a good cause (the wilderness), all donations over $2 are tax-deductible. And it is for a good cause - preserving Australia’s wilderness - which gives me more places to walk and explore. Except, of course, the Blue Mountains, which is national park. I can train my two-legger, but I’m not allowed to enter the event. Somehow I suspect that’s because I’d show them all up. But that’s okay, while he’s away I can rest, recover, and find the last of those socks.
Thank you very much for your time. I really do hope you can help us, I’d hate to think I’ve been training him, listening to him moan, groan and creak his way through walks and runs over the past few months for nothing!
And if our paths should cross on the trails, let me know, and I’ll give you some free puppy licks (the cure for everything that ails you!)
Yours sincerely
Max
